New Brunswick Awarded $300,000

27 09 2008

The Northernlight reports good news for local snowmobile clubs as part of a $2 million investment in tourism-related projects throughout northeastern New Brunswick, was $300,000 in funding for the local snowmobile industry. Just last month, the Northern Light reported that the Nepisiguit Sports Lodge was in danger of closing if it didn’t receive some help from the provincial government. “This is great, fantastic news,” said Dave Brewster, who is the vice president of the Nepisiguit Sports Lodge. “We’ve been working very closely with the (New Brunswick Federation of Snowmobile Clubs) and the province for quite some time and it was getting down to the 11th hour. It is not the cure all package for the whole province, that the federation was looking for, but it is certainly a start in the right direction.”
